Most people who hear the phrase Happy New automatically follow it up with the word Year, about themselves or out loud. Some even hum the aforementioned ABBA tune. And what does the curator put into this unfinished form of words taken out of the welcoming context?
Black space accepts new works and new stories from artists. It is in this format that I proposed to end this year and start a new one. The story written by the artist can relate to the work or be a separate form. At the entrance, you receive information and, moving through the space and approaching the works, you find a number by which you read the title and text. Can such a viewing be celebratory and educational? So! Perhaps this easy format will give more freedom to the artist and the viewer, and the curator will only help to make the exhibition by choosing very different works of Ukrainian artists. Enjoy!
