Anton Logov, who researches the theme of new abstraction step by step, after the series of socially consciousness projects mostly created with other artists, returns to work within his workshop and personality, even in such personal theme for every artist as avant - garde. Icon of modernism - "Black square", was taken by Anton Logov not to outdo it in meaning or to play with its sense, but to adapt it in present time and in his own artistic language. Because today - Black Square is only a black square and Logov think about it at this way, with formal painting tools and ideas of "pure art". At his "hands" Black Square becomes very small, takes no more than 5 % of canvas, moving in the space with syncopation, becomes a reflection of a Black Square and its shadow, sometimes totally disappear, arguing with psychedelic yellow and absolutely subjects to author's interpretation. The top of these esthetic "experiments", arguing with all history of abstract painting from classic modernism through the abstract expressionism, minimalism to post- abstraction today, Black Square is nothing, turned to absolute, legitimized, approved and touching.
