ARTVILNIUS'15, marked by special attention to Ukrainian art, this year will present three authors of Ya Gallery, known in Ukraine and beyond.

Ihor Yanovych, a classic of abstract art, belongs to the older generation of artists whose works have been seen in more than 70 foreign and international projects since 1992. Investigating the states of matter, its movement and destruction, the artist creates mostly monochrome textures that capture the elements of space accessible to the author's inner vision. It is the fluidity embedded in being and nature that became the object of observation in the "Current" series, where the role of the artist is reduced to a minimum so that matter "expresses itself to the maximum" (I. Yanovych).

The young abstractionist Anton Logov, associated with Yanovych in terms of painting and the joint exhibition "Lobotomy" (2011), continues his "avant-garde" experiments with spatial objects. Using improvised objects from his own workshop, and sometimes just from the street, the artist creates installations that mostly reflect internal psychological states. Whereas Another Times, according to the author's own definition, is "a small philosophical treatise on the feeling of a post-apocalyptic character" related to the changes in Ukraine.

Andrii Khir - a young artist (as well as an architect and designer) from Western Ukraine - consistently visualizes traditional beliefs and creates figurative series of images based on folk sayings and legends. Having researched Ukrainian - and more precisely Carpathian - demonology, the author presented the series "Superstitions", which illustrates the beliefs collected in the works of Ukrainian ethnographers beginning 20th century The content of these works corresponds to the graphic language of the works. The dark monochrome range and geometric compositions in some places resemble a diagram or drawing, and the gold elements and embroidery have both a graphic and symbolic load.

In addition to artistic power, the selected works also demonstrate the direction of theoretical searches of Ukrainian authors.
