Sergiy Yakutovich
Born 1952 in Kyiv in artistic family. His father Georgiy Yakutovich - was an outstanding Ukrainian graphic artist of the middle of the 20th century, also famous for his work as an art director in «Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors» film (1964, directed by S.Parajanov) and mother Oleksandra Pavlovska - was a painter and teacher.
1963-1970 - Taras Shevchenko Republican Art School
1970-1973 - Moscow Polygraphic Institute, faculty of artistic design
1973-1974 - Kyiv Art Institute (The National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture), graphic department
Since 1973 - regular participant of art exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad
1977-1981 - graduate student of the USSR Academy of Arts in Kyiv creative workshops
1977 - awarded the First Prize (Graphics category) in the exhibition-competition "Young Artist of the USSR", Moscow
Since 1978 - member of the Union of Artists of the USSR
1979 - First prize winner (Graphics category) in the USSR Academy of Arts
1980 - Grand Prix of the "Young Country" All-Soviet Union exhibition, Tashkent
1981 - Lenin Komsomol All-Soviet Union Prize laureate.
1983 - Gran Prix of the "For Peace" All-Union prize, Berlin
1983-1988 - received awards at the International Biennial of Drawing in Bratislava, Ljubljana, Krakow
1985 - Special prize of the First anti-fascist Triennale of Art at Majdanek (Poland)
1987 - Awarded the honorary title the "Merited Artist of Ukraine"
1990 - Leipzig city scholarship
1990 - Awarded the Great Golden Medal of the USSR Academy of Arts
1996-1999 - worked in Spain
2003 - Awarded the Golden Medal of the National Ukrainian Academy of Arts
2004 - Taras Shevchenko National Prize laureate
2004 - corresponding member of the National Ukrainian Academy of Arts
2008 - «Ukraine-3000» honorable prize for his contribution to the development of Ukrainian cinema
2008 - awarded with the honorary title of People's Artist of Ukraine
